About NSKI University College
NSKI University College is a small school in the heart of Oslo and offers a three-year bachelor's degree in acting, musical theater, scriptwriting and directing. The school is the only college in Scandinavia where Method Acting is the basis for large parts of the curriculum.
Due to this basic common vision for all of the four curriculums, collaborative projects across the educations are encouraged by the school. Students have a common understanding of the work behind good film, television, theater and music theater. This way, as a student, you are able to work together with students from the other educations. And, as experience shows, the collaboration that starts at school often continues in the years after graduation.
The teachers
Our skilled teachers have extensive experience from both film-, TV-, theater and musical industries in Norway, but also from countries outside the Nordic region, such as the USA, England and the Netherlands.
NSKI University College is located in St. Olavs gate 32, near The Royal Palace in Oslo, in between all of the capital's film, TV and performing arts environments. Professional actors from Norway and abroad are often invited as guest teachers. We do this to be constantly up to date with industry developments and to create an international environment.
Teaching
All four education curriculums are based on a lot of teacher-led teaching that takes place in smaller classes with a high focus on one-to-one teaching.
- At NSKI, we have more than twice as much teacher-led teaching as other similar educations, explains student Brage.
- With small classes, each individual student gets more, better and closer follow-up of the teachers and the students will thereby develop faster and better, fellow student Daniel continues.
